It was created to bridge key gaps such as uncertainty about tool choices, limited budgets and lack of tech-implementation roadmaps revealed in “The State of the Sector Report on Digital Transformation for Nonprofits in India”.

The resource is aimed at Indian nonprofits/SPOs at varying digital maturity levels from organisations beginning their digital journey through to those looking to scale or optimise digital-tech investments. It is especially relevant for those dealing with constrained budgets, uncertain tech choices and limited internal capacity

The compendium is updated periodically (e.g., quarterly or semi-annual) to reflect new tools, services and sector-insights. Updates will be announced through the DT4SI website and newsletter.

Suggested entries undergo review by the DT4SI editorial team criteria include relevance, usability for nonprofits, budget alignment and verification of provider credentials. Inclusion timelines vary (typically 2–4 weeks).

13. What happens when a tool or provider becomes obsolete or is no longer supported?

The compendium maintains version control and retired tools are archived with status updates; users are redirected to alternative options or notified via update announcements.
